The Mascorts of the Mascort Foundation

José María Mascort. The force of the landscape, published by the Mascort Private Foundation and written by Rosa M. Creixell, PhD and professor of Art History at the University of Barcelona, is the first study on the life and work of the painter from Torroella de Montgrí José María Mascort Galibern. In addition to the painter’s personal biography, the work addresses the study and analysis of his prolific pictorial work – where the landscapes of the Montgrí predominate – and his relationships with artists of his time such as Joaquim Mir. The study is completed with the cataloging of 676 works preserved in private collections, the Mascort Foundation itself and some public institutions.
