The Mascort Foundation exhibits 200 pieces of ceramics from the fourteenth to the eighteenth centuries that show royal, noble, ecclesiastical and civil heraldic motifs from both collections. Since its birth in the twelfth century, heraldry has been used by all walks of life in Europe. Following fixed rules of combination, armories or coats of arms serve a threefold function: identity, custom or possession mark, and ornamental element.

The exhibition is completed with a variety of artistic pieces that exemplify the wide range of applications that embrace heraldry, as well as ceramics.
