The vision that Fargnoli gives us of the time in which he lived – the first half of the twentieth century – is extremely precise, but, in addition to being necessarily static, it is, at the same time, distant and solemn, that is, it is the testimonial vision of a great artist who does not intend to get involved in anything he sees, in order to be able to transmit reality with the greatest fidelity, as photography allows. He is able to highlight, however, the best of the subject before him, following his interpretation of the concepts of the aesthetics of his time and which had contributed to his training, in large part, as a brilliant self-taught man.
