Josep A. Cerdà i Mellado

The golden ceramic from the Mascort Collection is an up-to-date synthesis of the most controversial aspects of Spanish golden pottery, with a very important documentary contribution related to the Valencian golden pottery trade of the late 15th century. The results of the analyzes of the ceramic pastes carried out in samples from the 14th to the 17th centuries are also published. It also incorporates the cataloging of the 294 pieces of golden ceramics in the collection (Kashan, Murcia, Malaga, Paterna, Manises, Muel, Seville, Barcelona and Reus), with large color photographs of the obverse and reverse. , as well as drawings of ceramic profiles. An essential work to get to know one of the most fascinating ceramic productions that have emerged from human genius.
