The collection consists of over 700 pieces and ranges from medieval creations through to pieces from the 20th century. Of particular significance are a set of tiles created in Manises during the 15th and 16th centuries, several series of Catalan and Valencian “sample” tiles, the socarrats– among them one showing a representation of a centaur archer, a unique example of its genre – as well as various beam fill panels, a magnificent set of trade tiles and other pieces showing representations of ships from the 17th and 18th century. Other highlights of the collection include the religious altarpieces, some of which represent the finest examples of Catalan ceramic work, and the jewel in the crown, the panel representing the siege of Rosas in 1645.
